Typical chape of a sword scabbard, as was common throughout Europe between 1250 and 1350 AD. Brass, Heigth 7,5 cm. Width at top 5.5 cm. Between the upper thighs there is space for a sheath thickness of 1.5 cm. Original brass tin-plated.
