Description
Front Head of Athena with Corinthian helmet decorated with a griffin, to the right. On the lower left next to the crest a small tropaeum. Reverse Pegasos flies to the left . Above triskele made of human legs. Greek inscription SYRACOSION.
Stater, silver, diameter 2.2 cm. Minted in Syracuse, Sicily, between 317 and 289 BC. Replica in silver.
