Description
End plate of an apron strap from Augst (AUGUSTA RAURICA) near Basel, Switzerland. 1st century AD, original made of tinned brass. Various forms of end hangers were fastened in such end plates, such as No. 262, No. 264, No. 355 or No. 788. The rivets required for this are included.
