Roman disc plate brooch from Augst, around 40- 80 AD

Description

Plate brooch with seven attached bone discs and leaf-shaped engravings from Augst (AUGUSTA RAURICA), Switzerland. They were used from around the mid of the first century AD up to the beginning of the eighties of the first century AD. Diameter 4 cm. Original brass tin-plated. Woman’s brooch, used in the whole Roman Empire.

Strong pin made from spring hard bronze.
