Description

Obverse head to right, L(ucius) SEPT(imius) SEV(erus) PERT(inax) AUG(ustus) IMP(erator) VIIII .

Reverse: Naked Hercules, lion skin over the arm, stands to the right. With his right hand he holds a club resting on the ground, in his left a bow. Inscription HERCULI DEFENS(or).

Denarius, silver, diameter 16 mm, minted in Rome 197 AD.
