Description
This figure from the Basel Minster treasury is referred to as a “goldsmith’s model” – like all other pieces from this treasury; however, their function is unknown. They all date from the late 15th/early 16th century and are made of silver; some are also partially gold-plated. I made the replica as a pendant. Striding heron, height 2.5 cm. Silver, with hidden eyelet on the back.
