Roman disc brooch with love inscription, mid 1st century AD

Description
Small disc fibula made of tin-plated brass, found along the former Roman road from Jülich to Neuss near Hasselsweiler, municipality of Titz in the district of Düren, Nordrhein-Westfalen. The special thing is the inscription: DOMINA TE AMO ALIAS DERIDO which means “Woman, I love you – I laugh at the other (women)”. Diameter 2.4 cm, dating around the middle to the end of the 1st century AD.
