S-shaped brooch from Frankfurt/Main (“Westbahnhöfe”), Germany. Original gold-plated silver. Small brooches like these were worn by women in pairs, and they were used to fasten clothing in the upper neck or chest area. S-shaped brooches are typical forms of jewelery from the 6th century AD. Heigth 2,4 cm.
