Cross decorated with dots and rings motiv from the Oldenburg Wall in Holstein, Germany, 10th century AD. Heigth 2,8 cm. The decorations are on both sides of the cross; the illustration shows the front and back.
The Oldenburg Wall is the origin of the town of Oldenburg in Holstein. The oldest, Slavic parts date back to around 700 AD. The old name of this castle complex and the surrounding settlement was “Starigard”.
