Obverse head to the right, AURELIUS CAESAR AUG(usti) PII F(ilius). Translated: (Marcus) Aurelius Caesar, son of Augustus (Antoninus) Pius.
Back CO(n)S(ulis) II . Honos (personification of martial glory) standing with cornucopia and olive branch in his right hand.
Denarius, silver, diameter 17 mm, minted in Rome between 145 to 147 AD. At this time Aurelius was still Caesar under Antoninus Pius (138 – 161 AD.). Hence the still quite youthful, beardless portrait.
