Description

Front Janus-shaped head composed of the head of Zeus to the right and the head of Hera to the left. Double ax on reverse, grapes below on the left, a kantharos on the right. Greek inscription TENEDON.

Drachma, silver, 1.5 cm in diameter, minted on the island of Tenedos (today named Bozcaada), Turkey, between 450 and 387 BC. Replica in silver.
