Description

Bow brooch with 2 “little horns” on the front from Carnuntum, near Vienna, Austria, 2nd half of 1st century AD. Length 5,1 cm. This type had its origin at the beginning of the 1st century AD in the Noric-Pannonian area, from where it also spread across the Rhineland. The type is rarely found north of the Main.
