Obverse head to the right, IMP(erator)CAES(ar) VESPASIAN(us) AVG(gustus) P(ontifex) M(aximus) TR(ibunicia) P(otestate) P(ater) P(atriae) CO(n)S (ul) VIII
Reverse SALUS AUGUSTA seated left, holding patera and long scepter in hands, S(enatus) C(onsulto) in field. Salus was the Roman goddess of health and welfare and corresponded to the Greek goddess Hygieia.
Brass sestertius, diameter 34 mm, minted in Rome in 79 AD.
