Obverse: Two laurel branches frame an oak wreath. Above: OB, in the wreath: CIVIS, below SERVATOS. (“Rescue all citizens”)

Back C ASINIVS C F GALLVS IIIVIR(i) A(ere) A(argento) A(uro) F(lando) F(eriundo) um S(enatus) C(onsulto). Coin of the Master of the Mint C. Asinius C. F. Gallus, one of the “College of Three Men for the Smelting and Coining of Gold, Silver and Ore (Bronze, Brass)”. This coin still has very strong reference to the Republican period. That is why there is no portrait of the ruler here yet.

Sestertius, brass, diameter 32 mm, minted in 16 BC in Rome.
