Description

Obverse Head to right, NERO CLAVD(ius) CAESAR AVG(ustus) GER(manicus) P(ontifex) M(aximus) TR(ibunicia) POT(estate) IMP(erator) P(ater) P(atriae).
Reverse ANNONA AVGVSTI CERES. Sitting Ceres (goddess of agriculture) with ears of grain and torch, on the left Annona (goddess over the grain supply) with cornucopia, in the center ship’s bow, Modius and altar. Below S(enatus) C(onsultum).
Brass sestertius, diameter 33 mm, minted in LUGDUMUM (Lyon), circa 64 AD.
