Thuringian bow brooch from Weimar, first half of the 6th century AD. Original silver gold plated. The brooch comes from a burial in the former Migration Period cemetery in the Cranachstrasse. Length 5,5 cm.
In the gold-plated variant, the gold layer is very thick (10 microns).
