Description

This originally in openwork made Celtic belt hook from Kufstein, Tyrol, is now in the Archäologische Staatssammlung in Munich and dates from the second half of the 5th century BC. The original was already broken into two parts at that time. For the purpose of repair, the two pieces were riveted onto a precisely fitting bronze plate; hence this the belt hook no longer looks like an openwork. Length of visible fitting 11 cm, total length 15.3 cm. For a belt width of 5.4 cm.

On request and for an additional charge, I can also provide the belt hook with a leather strap. Please ask.
