Description

Tinned plate brooch with a central bone bead and punched decoration from the “Villa Urbana” of Heitersheim, district Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald, Baden-Württemberg. Largest diameter 3.6 cm. These plate brooches appeared shortly before the middle of the 1st century and were used until about the beginning of the 80s of the 1st century AD. Original brass tinned Women’s brooch, widespread throughout the Roman Empire. With strong pin made of spring hard bronze.
