Reverse PACE P(e)R TERRA MARIOQ(UE) PARTA IANUM CLUSIT. Marginal of the temple S(enatus) C(onsultum). In 66 AD, after the peace with Armenia, the gates of the Temple of Janus were closed as a sign that Rome did not wage wars throughout the Empire. Neither on land, nor at sea (TERRA MARIOQ(UE)).
